Who we are

CMGM started the way most good things do — a handful of guys from church who liked each other's company and happened to like golf. No bylaws, no clubhouse, no matching polos. Just friends who wanted an excuse to get out on the course together and keep showing up for each other off of it. The friendships came first; the golf gave us a reason to put something on the calendar.

Today we're still a small group — usually 20 to 30 members at any given time — and we run somewhere between six and twelve events a year depending on the season and everyone's schedules. The format is friendly competition: scrambles, best-ball, the occasional individual round when we're feeling brave. Every event has a small charity component baked in, so you're always playing for something bigger than bragging rights. It's low-key, it's fun, and you don't need to be good — you just need to want to be there.
